Teacher
Louise currently teaches at Peabody Preparatory in Baltimore.
At Peabody, Louise is very involved with the (YPSP) Young Persons String Program which provides a comprehensive musical education to violin students thru the early teen years. In addition, Louise founded and developed a program for adult beginners called "So You Want To Play The Violin", which, in a 2 part 12 week course introduces the basic concepts of playing the violin, thus giving the curious adult the opportunity to try out the violin without making a major investment of time or money.
Adult music education is of particular interest to Louise and
in 2001 she founded the (AASPA) Adult Amateur String
Player Association a private organization that brings
adults in the Baltimore-Washington area for informal
music-making opportunities.
Louise continues to become involved in
furthering young peoples musical skills by taking on
the controlling role of the Sinfonia
to the
gbyo.com/">Greater Baltimore
Youth Orchestra Association. |
